SERVICES

As specialised veneer pressing experts, Gerner Veneer offers a very different service than the larger veneer panel companies. We care about the selection and matching of individual leaves of veneer for your projects.

We don’t press full sheets of board and then expect you to cut them up to make furniture. We press each component for your project individually and thus can supply matched panels with your grain and figure choice. If you want 8 drawer fronts, each with 2 book matched leaves of veneer, this is no problem. It’s what we do.

We can press and supply veneer panels for doors, drawer fronts, cabinets, special box lids, wall units, table tops.

Experience

Our experience in making furniture means we are able to problem solve complex sequence matching of panels and undertake veneer projects that are not normally commercially possible. Veneer expert, Anton Gerner, personally oversees each job we complete.

AMAZING VENEER

We can work with and supply burls and other exotic species from around the World.  Our network of contacts for unusual and rare veneers has been established over a 25 year period.

Matching

We can book-match, slip-match, 4-way match, sequence match and cross band in any available veneer. We can even supply you with sunburst veneer layups.

Delivery

We can pack and arrange for delivery of your pressed panels to anywhere in Australia.

If you are in Melbourne you are welcome to pick them up, or we can arrange for delivery.

How we work

1.     We only work with veneer we source and supply.

2.     We don’t work with MDF and only press onto high grade Poplar Blockboard and Birch plywood (supplied by Maxi Plywood). We can press onto any thickness substrate.

3.     We will individually quote each project and don’t work to a standard square meter rate.

4.     We supply all pressed panels 20mm oversized on all sides to allow for you to trim to size.

5.     We supply all pressed panels un-sanded so you have the maximum thickness veneer possible to work with and can sand them to your own requirements.
